Bald Rock National Park

Climb Bald Rock – Virtually!

The Southern Hemisphere’s largest granite dome. The magnificent 750m long and 500m wide dome rises 200m above the surrounding forest. The rock is not true granite, being classified as Stanthorpe Adamellite. The climb to the summit is via a track through bushland up the back of Bald Rock. The summit offers spectacular panoramic views before travailing the very steep descent down the front of the exposed rockface.
